Sheffield United Player of the Year Awards | 2019/20

Blades fans - this is one not to be missed! Who do you think has won coveted Player of the Year award? Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the popular end of season awards dinner, which usually takes place in a sold-out Platinum Suite, has had to be replaced with a pre-recorded video stream which will be premiered from 7pm this evening. Unitedites shouldn't feel too disappointed as we have gained exclusive access behind the scenes at Shirecliffe (socially distanced of course) and produced this lengthy video production presented by former BBC Radio Sheffield Sports Editor and current voice of the EFL Paul Walker encapsulating all the key moments and memories from an unforgettable campaign. There are a number of in-depth interviews to enjoy, starting with boss Chris Wilder giving a typically honest and forthright review of the prolonged 2019/20 season, before switching his focus to fans returning to Bramall Lane and the prospects for his team next term. The club's greatest ever player and ambassador Tony Currie then offers some kind words for the manager, his staff and players, particularly United's 'back five'. With a handful of awards up for grabs, several players are also interviewed giving Blades fans a mixture of perspective and humour.
