About the event
Beat 1X Radio presents our first public annual Beatnik day and evening party overloaded with entertainment. As we only do this once a year, the lineup and event is stacked with everything needed to ensure you have a really good time. As well as entertainment, we have our Beat Market full of food venders and products for you to purchase.
The Beatnik for us resembles everything we love about black cultural creativity in the community and internationally. The adversities black and ethnic people faced many years ago caused people to be very creative and resource with what they had. From this creativity and resourcefulness birthed all kinds of music, art, food recipes, dancing, fashion and a long list of other things which have today become a way of life for many people and embraced by other cultures around the world.
Most importantly, The Beatnik resembles coming together in real life…
