Beat 1X Radio is available on speakers and devices that are Amazon Skill compatable. This now means instead of having to listen via the website, you now have another option you may find easier as you can now just ask Alexa or Echo "Play Beat 1X Radio" or "Start Beat 1X Radio".
You can add the Amazon Skill to your Echo device by enabling it within your Alexa app or saying "Alexa, enable Beat 1X Radio"
Beat 1X Radio primarily plays high frequency vibration RnB from the classic and forgotten anthems to new independent artists refusing to let real RnB die that makes you feel good. Additionally, we play a touch of Soul, New Jack Swing, Hip Hop, Afrobeats and Reggae playing throughout the day from 4am to 9pm, aimed to make you get through your day, job or other tasks. All music played during these hours are clean versions so Beat 1X Radio remains authentic but appropiate for all audeinces to listen to. This allows retail shops, salons, barbershops, cafes, officers and other venues to use Beat 1X Radio as. background music without worrying about swearing.
After 9pm, music starts to get a bit darker and other generes will come into the mix including Danchall, Bashment, UKG, Grime, Bassline, Drum N Bass, Drill and other heavy bass, deep vibtration music takes over. As a nod to our home city, we also play a dedicated Sheffield playlist featuring music from the cities top artists and producers.
Due to our format, Guest DJs will sometimes takeover the radio to deleiver live shows for their indivudal audiences and Beat 1X members. They do not have a dedicated weekly show, but with how people consume audio today, this does not matter as shows will be promoted similar to events so you can tune into your favourite DJs that have featured at our past events or will be featuring at future events.
For Example - during the build up to a Beat 1X event, we will have a few shows during the weeks leading up to the platform to give everyone a taste of whats going to happen at the event. If you wasn't sure before, we are confident you will be down once you sample any live DJs vibes we allow on our platform.
Amazon Skill is another small step in our growth and we will continue to improve the platform for our memebrs for an even better and smoother experience.
